Help with assistant queries

The MCP integration is being prepared for publication. Its tools can look up produce and seafood estimates directly by name, or browse the catalog. No iOS app installation is needed.

For an MCP issue, include the tool name, product name, data date, and a description of the problem. Use the same GitHub support link above; omit conversation text, user identifiers, tokens, and other sensitive information.

Are the results from today?

Check the data date with each result. “Latest available” means the published market-day window, which may be older than today. Historical and missing prices are shown separately; none confirms stock at a shop.

Can I turn off usage analytics?

Ask ChatGPT: “Use Taiwan Market without recording usage statistics for this request.” The assistant must set record_usage: false on each tool call. This suppresses our custom analytics for those calls. See the privacy policy for details.

Common questions

Where can I find seafood prices?

Open the Seafood tab in the app to browse fish and shellfish, or search by a Chinese or English name such as 虱目魚 or milkfish. Whole fish, belly, frozen products, and other varieties can have different estimates. Prices are per 斤 (600 grams); check the variety and data date before comparing with a stall price.

The app says data is not downloaded. What should I try?

Open the app with a stable network connection and pull to refresh on the Home screen. The app downloads a manifest first, then verifies the market data files before showing them.

Are prices guaranteed?

No. Prices are estimates intended for comparison while shopping. Stall prices can vary by quality, neighborhood, weather, timing, and seller.

Does the app need an account?

No. Saved items, filters, and settings live on your device. You can use the app without an account login.
