Information Stored On Your Device

The app stores local data needed to run the shopping experience, such as saved items, hidden items, display settings, and downloaded market data. This local data is stored by iOS app storage APIs such as SwiftData and UserDefaults.

Market Data Downloads

The app downloads public produce and seafood market-data files so it can show current estimates and historical context. These downloads are used to deliver app content and do not require you to identify yourself.

MCP Request Processing

The MCP service runs on Cloudflare Workers. It processes the product names and filters sent in a tool call to return public produce and seafood estimates or catalog results. Our service does not need your ChatGPT conversation or account profile. OpenAI may include a user identifier with a call; we do not request your name or email address.

MCP Usage Analytics

We use Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine to understand usage, reliability, and product interest. For each validated tool call with analytics enabled, we record the tool, category, success or error outcome, elapsed response time, lookup and match counts, timestamp, and the OpenAI-provided user identifier when available. Calls without a valid identifier remain in usage totals and are counted separately.

For price results, we also record each distinct returned catalog product's canonical ID and name once per call. The metric is “product appearances in price results”: a broad search can contribute several products. Catalog browsing does not contribute to this metric.

The supplied identifier is stored unchanged and is not rotated monthly. It lets us count distinct supplied IDs and activity across dates without an account profile. These statistics are pseudonymous, not fully anonymous, and distinct IDs are not verified people. A stable hash is used only as the sampling index if the identifier exceeds Cloudflare's index length limit; the stored identifier remains unchanged.

Our analytics excludes raw searches, conversation text, IP addresses, account profile details, and other client metadata. We do not persist MCP invocation logs or traces. Cloudflare still processes network requests to operate the service and provides aggregate infrastructure metrics; response times in our analytics are wall time, not CPU usage.

Opting Out of MCP Analytics

Ask ChatGPT: “Use Taiwan Market without recording usage statistics for this request.” All tools accept record_usage: false, which suppresses all our custom analytics for that call while still returning results. For several calls, ask the assistant to set it on every call. Analytics is enabled by default when the parameter is omitted.

This control depends on the assistant passing the parameter. It applies to that call, not earlier records, and does not disable OpenAI's own processing or Cloudflare's aggregate infrastructure metrics. No website or iOS analytics is added by this integration.

How Information Is Used

Local app data is used to remember your app preferences and shopping state.

Sharing

Public market-data hosting uses Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare also processes and stores MCP analytics on our behalf. This website is hosted by GitHub Pages. OpenAI processes your use of ChatGPT under its own policies. The app does not sell personal information.

Retention And Deletion

Data stored on your device can be removed by deleting the app.

MCP Analytics Retention

Cloudflare Analytics Engine retains events for three months, after which they expire. Private usage reports show aggregates rather than individual identifiers. We do not link the supplied identifier to your iOS app data. To ask about privacy, use the support page; GitHub Issues may be public, so do not post your identifier or other sensitive information.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the app, website, or MCP service changes. The date at the top of this page shows when the current version was published.
